Grand Valley State University uses a centralized MeeFog humidification system to achieve 38% less energy usage than baseline ASHRAE standards. MeeFog uses about one percent the energy of a steam humidifier, which drastically reduces energy costs.

GVSU uses MeeFog humidification primarily during winter, though it can also be used to maintain tight humidity control year round in laboratories as well as in galleries and theaters where dry air can damage artwork and musical instruments.
