When Facebook needed an efficient and reliable humidification system for their Open Compute Project data center, they chose MeeFog™.  The system converts water into fine fog droplets designed to rapidly evaporate in the duct plenum, keeping the temperatures and humidity within the desired range.

A 2.0 power usage effectiveness is standard in the industry. With the MeeFog™ system, Facebook was able to achieve a 1.06 PUE. This means that for every 100 watts going to the computing equipment, only six watts goes to cooling, lighting, backup power, and power distribution.
